Kepler 0.9.1

Wednesday Patch: Tidier Results

A small follow-up to 0.9.0: a cleaner app list, better file matches, smaller updates, and a fix for a launcher freeze.

Changed

1
  • Updates are smaller. Updating from one of the last five releases downloads only what changed, and the built-in file search is a sixth smaller.

Fixed

8
  • Typing no longer freezes the launcher when a matching app is on a slow, sleeping, or network drive.
  • Your app list only shows apps you can open. Build products, installers, templates, and helper apps stay out.
  • Apps with the same name, like FileMerge in Xcode and Xcode beta, show where each one lives.
  • Searching for a file finds it even without its extension, and files inside caches, hidden folders, and node_modules rank lower.
  • The launcher reopens where you moved it, even when the number of results changes.
  • Currency conversions keep their amount when you type extra spaces or hyphens, like 100 australian-dollars to yen.
  • Look Ahead cards update as soon as you turn a source on or off.
  • The menu bar icon is centered.
